How is Heliwet FA 68/50 produced?
Heliwet FA 68/50 is produced by the controlled ethoxylation of cetyl and stearyl alcohols with 50 moles of ethylene oxide. This process results in a molecule with a very high degree of hydrophilic character, making it highly soluble in aqueous systems. The balance between the fatty alcohol structure and the EO units determines the product's effectiveness as an emulsifier or solubilizer.
