How is Heliwet FA 24/2 produced?
Heliwet FA 24/2 is produced through controlled ethoxylation. In this process, natural fatty alcohols (C12–C14) are reacted with 2 moles of ethylene oxide. The result is a stable molecule with a limited number of hydrophilic groups, giving it a strongly lipophilic character.
Function of Laureth-2
Laureth-2 functions as a water-in-oil emulsifier, antifoaming agent, and wetting agent. Thanks to its low HLB value, it helps stabilize oily systems and reduce foam formation in industrial applications. It also promotes better spreading of oils and solids in fat-rich formulations.
