ESTS

What is ESTS?
ESTS is a non-ionic emulsifier with the INCI name Polysorbate 65. It is designed to mix oil and water phases together to form stable emulsions. ESTS is particularly suitable for use in cosmetic, pharmaceutical and industrial applications, due to its mild nature and reliable performance as an emulsifier, solvent and stabilizer.

How is Polysorbate 65 made?
Polysorbate 65 is produced by the ethoxylation of sorbitan tristearate. During this process, polyethylene glycol chains are added, which gives the molecule hydrophilic properties. This structure makes ESTS a powerful emulsifier that can bind and stabilize oil and water, even in demanding formulations.
The function of ESTS
ESTS forms and maintains stable emulsions and helps solubilize lipophilic ingredients in aqueous systems. The product contributes to the smoothness, spreadability and consistency of formulations. ESTS is well tolerated by the skin and is suitable for use in mild and sensitive applications.
Polysorbate 65 across different industries

-
Pharmaceutical sector: In oral and topical preparations to improve the distribution of active ingredients.
-
Household cleaning: In liquid detergents to stabilize formulations and improve washing power.
-
Food industry: Can be used as an emulsifier in certain fat-containing food products (subject to regulations).
