How is Ethylhexyl Oleate produced?
Ethylhexyl Oleate is obtained through the esterification of oleic acid—a monounsaturated fatty acid found in vegetable oils such as olive oil—with 2-ethylhexanol. This results in a stable, well-tolerated ester with excellent spreadability and oxidative stability. Its liquid consistency makes it particularly suitable for incorporation into a wide range of formulations.
