EL 25, with the INCI name PEG-25 Castor Oil, is a water-soluble castor oil derivative that functions as a non-ionic emulsifier, solvent, and solubilizer in a wide range of applications. Due to its higher degree of ethoxylation, EL 25 offers excellent solubility in aqueous systems.

How is PEG-25 Castor Oil produced?
PEG-25 Castor Oil is produced by ethoxylating castor oil with approximately 25 moles of ethylene oxide. This results in a clear liquid with both hydrophilic and lipophilic properties, making it ideal for stabilizing emulsions and dissolving fragrances and active ingredients.
