What is soybean oil hydrogenated?

Soybean oil hydrogenated, also known as glycine soja oil, is a vegetable oil obtained from the soybean (glycine soja). Through a process of hydrogenation, the liquid oil is converted into a solid or semi-solid. This process improves the shelf life of the oil and increases the melting temperature, which is ideal for applications in the industrial sector. Hardened soybean oil is a versatile product and is valued for its stability and structure in various products.

How is glycine soja oil made?

Glycine soja oil, or soya oil, is extracted from the seeds of the soybean plant. The process begins with pressing the seeds to extract the oil. The oil then undergoes a hydrogenation process. This involves adding hydrogen to the unsaturated fatty acids in the oil, resulting in a hardened or partially hardened oil. This procedure increases the stability of the oil, reduces the chance of oxidation and makes the product more resistant to higher temperatures.

The function of soybean oil hydrogenated

Soybean oil hydrogenated has unique properties that make it a sought-after ingredient. The main advantage of hydrogenated oil is its increased stability. In addition, its solid consistency provides an improved texture in products. In industrial applications, hydrogenated soybean oil offers similar advantages, such as improved heat resistance and stability when used in lubricants, coatings and cosmetics.

Glycine soja oil in various industries

In the technical industry, hydrogenated soybean oil plays an important role as a raw material in various applications. Due to its stable structure and high melting temperature, it is often used in lubricants, where it contributes to improved lubrication properties and a longer life of machinery and equipment. It is also used in the production of coatings and inks because of its heat resistance and stability, which ensures durable finishes that are resistant to wear and extreme conditions. In addition, hydrogenated soybean oil is used in the production of bioplastics and other sustainable materials, where it serves as a replacement for petrochemicals. This versatility makes glycine soja oil a valuable raw material in the technical sector.
