More about candelilla wax?
Candelilla wax is softer than carnauba wax and harder than beeswax. Candellila wax is often used as a substitute for beeswax because it is plant-based and therefore vegan. Because it acts as a binder in cosmetics, candellila wax is often used as a thickener in personal care creams, body lotion and hand cream. The wax gives a nice feeling on the skin and bonds well with other oils. Because of this, cream with candellila wax is also not sticky and absorbs well into the skin. In addition to its use in cosmetics, candelilla wax is also used for hair care, as it is protective and causes hair to shine.
The Candelilla shrub from which candelilla wax is extracted gets its name from the Spanish word for small candle. This comes from the shape of the shrub's branches. Namely, these are long, thin and bare. The branches are protected from heat and evaporation by a hard wax: candelilla wax.

Besides candelilla wax, we have other waxes in our product range. Check it out on our insights page!
Our possibilities
In addition to being a supplier of a diverse range of oleochemicals and its derivatives, Chempri also is a producer of a large number of esters. These products are made at our very modern production site. We can also customize these products to meet specific customer needs. In addition, we offers the ability to facilitate reaction chemistry for partners. We are open to discuss various types of chemistry, including those outside of oleochemistry.
